Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with food and drink and is used to a high tempo and handling several tasks at the same time. We see that you are service-oriented and have the ability to follow instructions and also independently create your own and effective working methods. Working in service can be stressful and challenging at times, so we expect you to be both flexible and quick to adapt to new situations. You understand the importance of profitability and cooperation and are triggered by achieving high goals together with your colleagues.

Who are we?

Hotel Botanika is a boutique hotel located in the heart of Uppsala, right next to the river Fyrisån. In addition to hotel rooms, we have a restaurant, bar, party rooms and conference rooms. We are a small team with high ambitions and a positive attitude. The family feeling permeates everything in the work, both in meetings with customers as well as how we work together.

The concept is based on a homely feeling in a lush environment with Linnéträdgården as the nearest neighbour. With a simple but well-thought-out offer, we welcome all our visitors, whether they are looking for a place for meetings, a little time for themselves or socialising.

Role and tasks

The duties of a bar and server mainly involve working behind the bar, at the cash register and in the restaurant. This means taking orders from guests, both at the table and behind the bar, mixing and serving drinks, beer and wine and serving food and drinks. You are also responsible for ensuring hygiene and environment behind both the floor and behind the bar as well as routines for opening and closing. In addition to this, you also have joint responsibility together with the immediate manager for purchases within the bar. At Botanika we work as a team and you are therefore also expected to be able to cover and help your colleagues at other stations, of course to the extent of your experience of the task.

Employment

The positions we fill are both full-time and extra when needed and working hours vary but are mainly afternoons, evenings and weekends. The position is a permanent position, with a 6-month probationary period. Interviews are ongoing and the positions are to be filled immediately.
